I was able to experience the personal benefits that the practice of yoga allowed me to have at a point in my life where I was very low in many aspects, my energy, my self esteem and my connection to myself. During this time I had tried many techniques and modalities before finally succumbing to yoga. I used the practice to firstly allow healing within myself and then began to thrive in my own being. This process is always ongoing for me and the more I learn, the more I wish to share this wonderful tool with others.
I feel so blessed to have been able to train with Indian Yoga Master Aadil Palkhivala. Aadil was a close student of BKS Iyengar as he had studied with him since the age of 7, so naturally my training is grounded in a lot of anatomy and energetics of a pose.
My passion is teaching yoga that is safe and effective for students at all levels so they can be supported in their practice and get the most out of their yoga experience. Physically I focus on alignment and supporting each person as an individual so all abilities and body types are respected and cared for. I believe yoga goes beyond the physical body and make sure to offer time in class for relaxation and meditation in order to centre the mind and calm the nervous system.
